At the request of a loyal client in the sugar industry, the Semoulin Packaging team passionately worked to find an alternative to traditional packaging.

Today, our sugar stick packaging is made entirely of paper. Thanks to an innovative thermocoating technique, we have replaced conventional polyethylene.

Why is this such a major technological breakthrough? Because it allows us to seal the packaging without adding plastic. This makes our paper sugar sticks fully recyclable and, most importantly, more environmentally friendly.

By eliminating polyethylene, we also solve another significant problem: transport efficiency. Traditional plastic-coated sugar sticks contain about 20% trapped air, which increases transported volume and reduces storage efficiency. Our 100% paper solution optimizes transported volume by 20%, reducing both pollution and logistics costs for our partners.
